Burmese Mother & Infant (Currently on my easel)

My friend Matt Brandon recently took a trip to Burma and posted a photograph of this young mother with her baby on his instagram account. I loved the image so much. The wild array of patterns in every piece of clothing she and the baby wore. and the traditional thanaka painted on the babies face. I am thoroughly enjoying painting this piece and cannot wait to share the final painting.
