Poppies at Dusk
After my friends Steven and Shane saw the poppy painting I did for my mother-in-law, they insisted I paint a poppy painting for them. I typically do not replicate a painting once I have completed it and it has been purchased and/or given to the new owner. So I created this piece which is similar to the painting I did for my mother-in-law, but unique within itself. It also has a little ladybug on one of the leaves. Little details that make each piece unique. During the creation of this piece, I came to discover that poppies are my favorite flowers to paint. The delicate petals and the way light reflects and filters through them is captivating to the eye.
